Over the last two years at Masco, I have played a crucial role in helping elevate the school’s sports atmosphere to its peak. The primary way I have done this is through social media platforms such as the ScoAthletes Instagram account and ScoGameDay, as mentioned in the Web and Social Media section. ScoAthletes has grown to over 1,800 followers on Instagram and is now recognized not only within the Masconomet community, but across the conference and throughout the state.

During the fall season, the ScoAthletes crew and I created hype videos for major games, especially Friday Night Lights home football games, interviewed players and fans leading up to games, conducted “Player of the Game” interviews, and posted game-day graphics and recaps. I also reached out to videographers to create promotional edits for our teams; now, during the winter season, videographers reach out to us. Masconomet has developed into a sports atmosphere that schools across the North Shore want to be part of.

I also select all student-led game themes and help create humorous skits on ScoAthletes to reveal themes for big games. Beyond ScoAthletes, I took the initiative to call in every Masco football and basketball game to the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and Salem News, providing game summaries and key statistics. Each week, I send out emails with basketball statistical leaders. Additionally, on every sports segment of the Morning Update, my co-broadcaster and I inform students about game themes, times, and locations to increase student and parent engagement. Below is some of the work I have done to help market Masco sports and boost fan engagement.

Here is a hype video my friends and I made for Masco’s elite eight football playoff game revealing the theme is white out. Below is the graphic I made for the game.
